Mission: The OASIS Center for Conscious Living exists to teach new earth living principles and practices and to build community, blending two generations and two cultures. We adhere to the prophecy of the eagle flying with the condor. We plan to grow our community both in southern Ecuador and in the sacred valley of Peru.
From www.ic.org/directory/the-oasis-center-for-conscious-living/:
First and foremost we are a teaching center, with a focus on "new earth living." This includes the study of the evolution of consciousness of our species, an exploration of ourselves as energetic beings, and the principles and practices of new earth or conscious living. We have a small farm and animal husbandry program, but will acquire a larger farm space soon for more crops and large animal husbandry. We plan to establish a trout farm and a beekeeping operation, with the development of a fully self-sustaining community. We are looking both for elders to help teach and lead the community, as well as young interns who want to learn to live freely and grow as a community together. We adhere to the prophecy about the eagle flying with the condor, that the mix of North American intellect and masculine efficiency will blend with South American beauty and sweetness, and together we will create a new earth. We will eventually have a larger farm south of Cuenca, perhaps as far as Vilcabamba, and later establish our full community project outside of Urubamba, Peru. One of the ways that we integrate with the local community is by renting our properties from them. They are the owners and we simply are the stewards. In this way we not only co-create community with them, but we adhere to a core principle of new earth living, that no individual owns any property of any kind. We are fully self-sufficient in that we generate all the capital necessary for the community via our internship program and a variety of farming enterprises. The such enterprise is a program for growing heirloom tomatoes and producing sun-dried tomatoes to sell to the gringo population in Cuenca.
