Mission: Camphill Community - Anthroposophy

From www.ic.org/directory/pennine-camphill-community/:

Pennine is a Camphill centre supporting a college for young people with learning difficulties.
Most co-workers live within the 56-acre site, working on a voluntary basis and receiving no wage or salary but with their daily needs being met by the community. We have recently extended the community and we are joined daily by others living locally. There is always an international flavour to the community, with usually half the co-workers coming from other countries, often as a gap year after or before college or university.
Our small farm and vegetable gardens are worked bio-dynamically and provide much of the community's needs. There are several craft workshops and a riding school run jointly with the Riding for Disabled Association.
We are always open to enquiries; our usual request is that a potential co-worker has a year free of commitments and would be prepared to live, work, and learn alongside others in the community. Many people come to help at the Pennine Community for about a year at a time. There are often places available, so please get in touch.
