Mission: good friends, interesting company

From www.ic.org/directory/denver-space-center/:

We are an urban cooperative household established in 1979--more intentional than a boarding house, less intense than a commune; more civilized than a fraternity, less crowded than a dormitory. We have relatively few rules, though relatively much experience in this lifestyle. We share the rent, the common spaces, the housework, a piano, a big yard with gardens, and make decisions by consensus when possible.
In recent years we've added a 2.5 story octagonal addition that gives us another bedroom, a library and a rooftop patio that provides more space for such things as yoga, exercise, stargazing, and the occasional meeting of a philosophy book club.
A tiny cabin in the middle of an artistically enhanced 12 acres of highly 3-dimensional fairly secluded woodland provides a getaway 80 miles to the west. Some of our friends'creative expression, when it comes to music and/or theater,is served up on the summer side of a mountain.
We encourage friendships, good company, interesting conversations, aesthetic ruminations, and connections to a developing circle of friends, now with a wider range of ages than was originally. We have a non-biological resemblance that eludes prosaic description.
