Meet the neighbors:

Mission: Organic farming.

From www.ic.org/directory/molino-creek-farming-collective/:

Molino Creek LLC has two major goals: to foster community through shared land ownership and to operate an organic farm on our parcel in Santa Cruz county.

There are nine separate household shareholders, comprised of one or two adults and their children. Some members work on the farm, some work in nearby Santa Cruz in a variety of occupations, some are retired.

Our group uses consensus to make all decisions. We meet regularly (once or twice a month) to discuss management of collective affairs.

The property is "off the grid" with no incoming utilities. Each household satisfies its power needs with photovoltaics/generators. Each member contributes money to maintain the five-mile road that connects us to the Coast Highway.

All residents at Molino Creek are shareholders; we do not have facilities for guests. Each share owns a 1/9 undivided interest in the common property. A share entitles a household to make certain improvements on the property, participate in the consensus process, and be part of the co-owned farm operation.
